Cathy's Hair Studio is dedicated to providing a relaxing and professional environment to ensure our clients have a pleasant experience. It is also our priority to keep all of us safe and healthy. We have updated our policies and procedures to provide a clean and secure environment that seeks to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and any other contagions.
The terms of this update are as follows:
- A face mask must be worn during the entire appointment. NO MASK NO ENTRY.
- A pre-signed liability waiver is required upon each salon visit. If you decline to sign the waiver, we will cancel your appointment immediately.
- No waiting in the lobby area. Text your stylist when you have arrived and wait in your car until called or texted to enter for your appointment.
- Temperature checks will be made prior to entering the salon.
- Wash hands with soap and hot water for 20 seconds or use approved hand sanitizing products before being seated.
- No add-on services will be made if there is not sufficient time scheduled before the following appointment.
- If you are interested in keeping the same appointment time on a recurring basis, standing appointments are available and highly recommended.
- Walk-ins will not be accepted. All appointments must be made online.
- New clients may be required to schedule a virtual consultation prior to appointment.
- Do not bring additional guests to appointments. One client per stylist.
- If possible, try not bring your children, who are not receiving services, to you appointments unless they are not of legal age to be left alone at your home or in your car.
- Limit your number of bags and purses to no more than 2 when entering the salon.
- Do not bring food or beverages (except bottled water) into the salon.
- Text or call if you will be 5-10 minutes late. After 10 minutes, the stylist reserves the right to reschedule your appointment to a future date.
- Appointments not canceled within 24 hours or same day cancelations will be charged $30 for services scheduled.
- Please refrain from using cell phones and all other electronic devices while in the styling or shampoo chair. Cathy's Hair Studio, LLC will not be responsible for any damages.

Why use Barbicide®?
Barbicide® is a disinfectant used in hair salons, hospitals and other areas where germs and fungus can easily be transmitted. When used properly, Barbicide® is EPA registered to kill surface germs, fungi and viruses, including Hepatitis B, the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the common cold and the human coronavirus.
Is Barbicide ONLY the liquid in the blue jar?
Barbicide® takes many forms including spray, wipes as well as that blue liquid you see in salons.
How will Barbicide® usage in a salon help me?
Barbicide® kills enveloped viruses on surfaces. An enveloped virus can include the common cold, HIV, and even human coronavirus.
Is my stylist Barbicide® COVID-19 Certified?
Barbicide® COVID-19 Certification is a specialized course which emphasizes on the proper use of Barbicide® products to minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
The easiest way to know if your stylist is Barbicide® COVID-19 certified is to look for the Barbicide® certificate near their station. They may also post it on their website.
What are some of the steps
- We disinfect our stations with Barbicide® spray after each guest.
- We wash our hands after each guest.
- All of our tools of the trade are disinfected with Barbicide®.
- Our towels are only used once and then washed using laundry soap in warm water and tied with a high heat setting.
- Our promise to you is that we will NEVER cut out these steps during your service in one of our salons…NEVER
